Looking back: The Cotswolds

I'm probably not alone in this but when it comes to travelling and planning holidays, my first thought is always 'let me check flights', I instantly think of leaving the UK and jumping on a plane to a complete different country.
It's a bad habit of mine that I'm really trying to change, because you don't need to leave the UK to find a gorgeous little area to spend a weekend, we have so much beauty here in the UK and it's a shame to miss out on it because you get it in your head that a trip needs to involve a new country, don't get me wrong I'm never going to turn down visiting a different country and exploring new food, cultures and so on but I also really want to take more time to see what the UK has to offer to.

A couple of years ago I spent a lovely couple of nights in The Cotswolds, it was a first visit and I fell in love.

Living in a big city, greenery and peace is not something that I come across often, it's more hectic life and high rise buildings on a daily basis for me so escaping that, even for a night or 2 is such a blessing.
As I'm sat here with the sun shining and dreaming of lazy days in the country with fresh air & a picnic, I thought it seemed the perfect time to tease myself even more and look back over photos of moments like this and well, if I have to torture myself then I figured it only right I did the same to you all and shared some of the photos from this gorgeous area of the UK.

Do you have any favourite places to visit in the UK for a getaway or are you like me and need to start making more of an effort to explore the UK instead of wanting to jump on a plane?
