Walt Disney World: Coronado Springs resort

Coronado Springs was the 3rd resort I stayed at on my 2012 trip to Walt Disney World, yes I did a bit of resort hopping you could say but there was good reason for it. Going from staying in 2 deluxe resorts during this stay to a moderate I thought I'd be left feeling a bit meh about the 2 nights being spent here but in fact I really enjoyed it.
From the moment of check in I was smiling from ear to ear, a nice little upgrade to business club level which meant a room in Casitas 9B section and even bigger bonus, yummy continental breakfast and snacks through the day. The resort is certainly big and more spread out than those I'd stayed at previous to this stay, although Animal Kingdom Lodge was quite a large resort too but due to being all in one building didn't seem as spread out, which of course it isn't.

The rooms at CSR are probably my favourites amongst the moderate resorts, I love the colour and theme and the view as we opened the door or looked out the window was just gorgeous, this resort although large is definitely one to consider as it's so beautiful. There's little beach type areas around the lake, well sand with hammocks on which lazing on and watching the sunset is one of the most peaceful things I found to do while there, what I wouldn't give to be back in that hammock right now.

If you're trying to pick a Moderate resort at Walt Disney World then I'd highly recommend here, I found it so peaceful, not many children about I didn't feel either which is a great bonus when not a parent. The food court had a great range and was delicious. If it weren't for wanting to try and stay at new resorts each time then I wouldn't hesitate to nook here again.

Have you stayed or considered staying at Coronado Springs resort?

  1. I've never stayed in a Disney Hotel in the US before. There are so many I have to get through. This one looks so nice but I hardly ever see it get mentioned.

    1. They're all great in their own right but I do have my faves :) It's a shame this one doesn't get as much mention as others and I've no idea why because it's gorgeous

  2. I love the decor of the rooms! And the views around the resort look beautiful. The only on site Disney hotels I've stayed at are All Star Movies and Caribbean Beach- CB was lovely :)

    1. It really is stunning and I highly recommend it if people are looking at a moderate resort, I think CB will likely be one of the last ones I stay at purely because the size puts me off which is a shame as it does look nice
