Step into my fantasy home

If you don't know what Pinterest is then you must have been living under a rock for the last few years, personally I've been obsessed with it for the best part of 4/5 years. I do go through phases where I don't use it as much but more often than not once I log on, that's it, I'm stuck on there for hours pinning everything from makeup to shoes and cupcakes to bedrooms.
So come on into my home....well my Pinterest home anyway ;)

Of course my home isn't exactly decorated to my dream taste, my kitchen is tiny and quite frankly that's not how my perfect kitchen would be, one major factor is I don't have that dream island in there and my bathroom is also small with no room for a separate bath (a gorgeous free standing one) and shower, but let's face it I'm not rich with a huge 5 bedroom house, with en suite, walk in wardrobe, kitchen the size of a living room etc but if I were, you know in that dream world we like to live in now and then I'd of course have all that and here are just some of my favourite pins to introduce my dream home.

In the second half of last year I moved home and despite having an idea in my head of how I wanted to decorate, I of course took to Pinterest for hours and hours for help and inspiration. There was no question I'd be using grey and white quite a bit throughout as I just love the look (as you've probably gathered from this post), so every wall throughout has ended up grey, I did however use a different shade in each room, don't want it all to be the same as that would be boring wouldn't it? ;)

For my bedroom I went for a light grey with white touches and furniture and opted for a darker grey with black furniture in the living room, I am however now starting to regret the black in the living room and wish I'd gone for white in there too as I just love it so much, so that could get changed at some point but we'll see. To be honest, despite being here around 6 months there's still some things to get done which is shocking considering how small it is, I don't know why I still haven't finished it all but I've been distracted by Disney holidays I think!

Are you crazy like me, spending hours on Pinterest fantasising about the way you'd have that luxury, huge, lottery win home? if you want to see more of my pins, there's lots more including fashion, makeup, Disney & more then you can find me here

    1. It's too easy to just get carried away on there and before you know it hours have past. Thank you, hopefully one day I'll have something that is similar ;)

  2. Pinterest is definitely a place where you can lose a few hours but your boards are filled with pretty things 😄. I love those big American houses with basements and porches and mahoosive kitchens, total opposite to my house. The kitchen you have pinned is gorgeous as I love an island but also the colours and seating area in it too. Maybe one day we will both have our huge kitchens. I have dark furniture in our living room and I found that it gets covered in cat hair, dust, etc really quickly that I dust twice a week, I'm sure your furniture will be the same with Minnie. Don't think I will buy dark furniture again because of that. Xx

    1. They're just amazing aren't they, need the big kitchen for all the baking. Ah it's a complete nightmare, even worse now I have Minnie as her fur just seems to float around everywhere, not only is the furniture black but it's also gloss and I'm sure that just makes it worse, it shows every finger print too x
