Making changes in life

A little while back my lovely friend Lottie over at Lottie does wrote a great post titled "things I kinda want to do" as always with Lottie's blog posts, it was a great read. However, this one stood out to me more than others, mainly because it really got me thinking.

A Perfect Christmas

It seems everyone absolutely loves this time of year, that Christmas is just so wonderful and amazing but I'm just not one of those, don't get me wrong I do love and enjoy Christmas and it is a special time of year to me but I just don't seem to love it the way I used to.

Disney travels: It's a very merry Disney time

Last week it was time to head off to Disneyland Paris for a mini Disney Christmas break, having an annual pass makes these frequent trips so much easier and more tempting and as my sister is such a huge Christmas fan it seemed right that she finally experienced Disney at this festive time.

WDW must do's: Magic Kingdom

With my next Disney World trip creeping ever so close, in fact it's just a couple of weeks now till payment is due, yuk, no one likes that part do they? I've been thinking about the must do's on my list for this trip, or at least I really hope to do's because despite this being my 6th trip to the most Magical place on earth, there are still things I haven't done.

Disney travels: Ending the trip partying with Mickey

I seem to be taking forever to get all these posts wrote but if I'm honest, it's more of a case of dragging it out because when it's done it will symbolise the real end of it all, the trips been over for a while but I've dragged out these posts because it's helped with not admitting the obvious ;)

1

Christmas time in Copenhagen

Last week, along with my sister and her husband I jetted off on a short flight over to Copenhagen for a couple of nights. We wanted to do a little break somewhere that would feel Christmassy with markets etc and when we spotted return flights on Ryanair for less than £20, our decision on where to go was made.

Christmas Party Dresses

One of the things I really love about Christmas time and of course food, gifts, cosy movie nights all  aside, it's admiring all the gorgeous festive season dresses that appear in the shops. Unfortunately I don't tend to have many occasions that I have an excuse to completely dress up and sparkle from head to toe but that doesn't stop me admiring all the prettiness in stores and ok, I admit I can't help but give in and perhaps buy a dress or two, just in case because you never know when Prince Charming might come along and sweep you off your feet to take you to the ball.

Happiness in November

Another month gone by, another 'Happiness in..' post and unbelievably the penultimate one of the year, how did it get to December already? does everyone else feel like we've just blinked and this year has ran past us or maybe it's just my age and it's true what they say that once we get older time just goes past us even quicker than ever before.

Disney Christmas Wishlist

Come Christmas time my Disney wishlist is always bigger than any other time of year, partly due to the fact that from around October I don't tend to buy myself any Disney items incase friends and family have picked them up for me for Christmas, instead I drop lots of hints about all the lovely things I've been lusting over in hope they'll have the sense to listen ;) and partly because it seems to be the best time of year for it all, I especially love all the Christmas decorations The Disney Store get in.

1

Christmas wishlist

Why is it that all year round your wishlist grows like crazy almost on a weekly basis, every time you go on the internet you add another 5 items to it, you go window shopping and spot at least something in every shop and then christmas roles around and nothing. Your mind is blank and it seems when trying to come up with ideas to give others of gifts you like, there's just nothing you can find, well apart from that £1000+ handbag that no relative or friend has won the lottery to be able to afford for you.

Disney travels: It's a Fantasy come true...part 2

I'm finally back to share about the second half of my cruise, it feels like so long ago now that we were onboard and having the time of our lives, why does time after Disney trips go even faster than usual? the post Disney blues are still here though, there's still so many moments I just wish I could rewind time and be back on that holiday or enjoying the excitement in the run up to it but now it's just the memories that are left.

The truth about traveling solo

Back in September you may remember I boarded an 11 hour flight to spend 4 nights trying out solo travel, if you haven't read all about the trip itself just pop here. I'd flown on my own before but not for anything longer than about 2 hours, although I had no fears or even little worries about that but actually being on holiday on my own was a bit of a huge step for me.

A day in St Thomas

Some years ago I was sat watching a film, Weekend at Bernie's 2, it's one of those silly early 90's films that are stupidly unrealistic and silly but you find yourself watching and giggling at anyway. A large part of the film is based in St Thomas, US Virgin islands and since then I decided I had to definitely visit one day so when trying to decide between the Eastern and Western Caribbean itinerary for our cruise, spotting that the Eastern stopped there was a big pull towards that one.

Happiness in October

This month has been a rather quiet one for me, not too much has been going on and not to mention October is always a bit of a tough month for me, it's the month my aunt passed away in, also the month I had both my miscarriages and the month that my life started to be turned upside down a few years back, so safe to say it's probably one of the least favourite months of the year.

Disney travels: It's a Fantasy come true...part 1

From the minute I stepped aboard my first cruise ship, the Disney Magic back in January 2014 I instantly knew it wouldn't be a one off. It was beautiful, and all my worries and fears about hating being on a cruise ships were quickly gone and replaced with feelings of Disney magic and pure joy. I spent a lot of time afterwards dreaming about booking another cruise, I had in fact booked 2 following that but both had to be cancelled, the 3rd time I booked again, I knew there was no way I wasn't going. And finally September 2016 came round and it was time to board the Disney Magic's bigger but younger sister, The Fantasy.

Disney travels: Starting a Disney Fantasy

Somehow Friday just gone was 6 weeks since I said goodbye to Disneyland and flew from LA to Orlando for the next Disney filled fun part of my adventure, I honestly can't believe it was so long ago already, I still have post Disney blues, I still wish that I was back on that ship every. single. day and I still and probably forever will, wish I could just do the trip all over again.

Autumn lust list

A new season means only one thing....shopping of course, well as long as we leave the obvious things aside anyway. It's the perfect excuse to refresh the wardrobe and home, both need a new look to go with the new season. Ok, I'm not trying to fool anyone, any excuse to shop, actually I don't even bother trying to find an excuse anymore but a new season really is an opportunity that can't be wasted.

Disney travels: It's a diamond celebration...part 4

My last day in Disneyland had arrived, and it was a sad and depressing occasion, I just love it here so much and didn't want to leave, why couldn't they just let me stay forever? it's not like they don't have the room up in The Dream Suite ;) but I intended to end my stay with something fun....

Disney travels: It's a diamond celebration...part 3

Today started off with a huge amount of excitement, not that any day at a Disney park doesn't but today was exceptionally exciting, today I would tick something else off my Disney bucket list and no doubt spend a matter of occasions over the next 3 or so hours with tears in my eyes, yes I was excited to be crying haha but I was booked on the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour.

Disney travels: It's a diamond celebration...part 2

With the dreadfully long day I had travelling and spending the evening saying goodbye to Disneyland's 60th anniverasy, you'd think I would have woke up rather late and after a long stretch of sleep on my first full day, but no, not me, despite being utterly exhausted and questioning how my body was even working still, I of course got hit by dreaded jet lag. Let's just say the park opened at 10am and between waking up and being in the park at 9.45am waiting for official opening, I had unpacked, organised all my stuff, washed and styled hair, makeup, had breakfast, popped to CVS, walked to the park and even chilled out while making use of starbucks wifi, while slowly drinking a cup of tea, none of which was done at anything but a slow pace either.

Happiness in September

Honestly, I probably sound so receptive now but these posts just seem to be coming round quicker and quicker, last month I was cringing at all the mentions of Autumn, winter and even worse, Christmas but now it suddenly feels like it isn't that far, we're in October and that means it's just 2 months away!

Disney travels: It's a diamond celebration....part 1

I cannot believe it was 3 weeks ago yesterday that I flew out to LA to start my most exciting Disney trip yet and now I've been home a week and suffering badly with those post Disney blues but now it's time to relive some of it as I share some of my favourite moments & memories from this wonderful time.

Then the trip was over

Hello you lovely lot, I'm sadly back home now from my amazing holiday and as you can imagine hugely suffering with those post Disney blues, I'm pretty sure they get worse with each trip but it doe help at least a little knowing when my next one will be, usually I come home and don't know when I'll be returning.

Looking back: San Diego

I've been doing it yet again, looking back over past holiday photos and wanted to share another destination that I've been lucky to visit with you, San Diego.

Disney travels: And the adventure begins

Making the decision to holiday solo is no doubt a big step for many and one I'd been wanting to take for quite some time, in fact I almost did last year but a friend ended up joining me on Walt Disney World trip but this year I finally took the step and stuck to the plan.

Happiness in August

August has been a bit of a crazy month for me, more crazier than I was expecting anyway, for months I'd been thinking with it being the month before my Disney trip it would be slow, quiet and pretty non eventful but it came with it's ups and downs, downs were health ones but as always I tried not to let that spoil everything for me and also had plenty of happy, fun times.

Disney trip shopping list

Let's face it, when it comes to Disney trips there's a lot of thought that goes into all the planning, planning your days, planning your restaurants choices, of course your outfits is also a major one and then there's one more thing I love to do, make a shopping list, a Disney shopping list.

Flight essentials to stay hydrated

It's well known that flights are absolutely awful for drying your skin out and making you feel a little yuk, especially when they're long haul and I hold my hands up to be one of those people who did very little to help the skin drying out situation, well I was that person a few years back but now I've become a little more obsessed with wanting to help treat my skin better, my last few flights I've made positive steps to help keep hydrated.

2016 mid year(ish) goals

Somehow we're half way through August and this year seems to be going faster than Usain Bolt running towards his next gold medal, I don't know if it's just me but the older I get the faster the years seem to go, anyone else feel like that?

Sephora Wishlist

Hello you lovely friends, sorry I've slacking on the post front this week but I've not been feeling my best and I was planning on coming back today to tell you all about my visit to Sky Garden in London which I was meant to visit yesterday, but unfortunately, that didn't happen either.

1

When the beach comes to London

When it comes to seasons throughout the year, there is no doubt that Summer wins for me, hands down it's my absolute favourite. Nothing beats a glorious, hot, sunny day while sat outside at your favourite local restaurant and enjoying a nice meal with cocktails.
2

Disney bounding: I'm the boss!

As you may have seen from my Summer fun at Disneyland post, last week I headed off to Disneyland Paris for the day and used it as an opportunity to finally Disney bound at the parks, I can't believe it's taken me all these years and visits to actually do it, and great fun it was.
2

Happiness in July

Hello all you lovely people. How have we passed the half way point of 2016 already? it just seems crazy, I hope its proving to be a good one for you all, personally I've been really enjoying it and loved the first half but it would be good if this part of 2016 could go a bit slower.

Disney travels: Summer fun at Disneyland Paris

On Thursday, my sister & I boarded a very stupidly early Eurostar for a day of fun at Disneyland Paris. It was a long, exhausting but extremely fun day, we hugged our furry friends, rode our favourite rides and skipped down Main Street in the sun.

Looking back: The Cotswolds

I'm probably not alone in this but when it comes to travelling and planning holidays, my first thought is always 'let me check flights', I instantly think of leaving the UK and jumping on a plane to a complete different country.

Finding Dory giveaway

Finding Dory gets released this week and like me, I'm sure many of you are so excited to go and watch it, and if the film coming out wasn't enough to fill your week with our favourite fish, I'm so excited to be able to have these amazing goodies to giveaway thanks to the lovely people at The Disney Store.

Disney bounding: "When will my life begin?"

Since I've become interested obsessed with Disney bounding I seem to spend so much time looking online for outfit ideas and while hunting down a yellow dress for a Belle bound for Mickey's not so scary halloween party outfit, I got distracted by this absolute stunning lilac dress.

10 Things I wish I could tell my past self

I'm sure I'm not alone in this but as the years past by, extremely quickly so it seems since becoming an adult too. I think back on things that stressed me out, times I was so upset and didn't think it would pass, those stupid beauty & fashion choices and wish this older and more wiser version of myself could somehow have told me to fix up, sort myself out or how dreadful that outfit looked.

Booking a Disney adventure #2

I'm now less than 2 months away from my big Disney adventure, honestly I can't believe I've gone from a countdown of over a year and now less than 60 days away, it seems crazy. As it is getting closer I figured I better get on with telling you how I went about booking the next part, well actually it was the first part I booked but I won't confuse you so we'll stick with the order it's all happening on the trip and therefore its the 2nd part, if you haven't ready part 1 you can do here.

My essentials for a Disney trip

A Disney trip is always one of the most exciting things to plan and prepare for and with my next trip fast approaching, that feeling has well and truly kicked in, before I know it I'll be packing my case once again for some exciting, magical days with Mickey & co.

Searching for lost happiness

Sometimes life can throw us curveballs, big giant ones that we just weren't expecting, one's that can really knock us of our happiness or make us realise life doesn't always go the way we plan, it can erase all our confidence and even the happy life we pictured we had and would continue to have, happily ever after is no more.

Disney bounding: At the beach

Wow it's been some time since I've done one of these Disney bounding posts and I've no idea as I love writing them and coming up with the outfits, as it's summer, although lack of sun I admit, I thought it would be a perfect time add the Disney twist to those beach/pool outfits.

A - Z Travel list

Although it was a tough one, I really enjoyed writing my A-Z of Disney in photos post and not too long ago I read a great A-Z post on Peaches and bear, an A-Z travel list which of course being the travel addict I am really appealed to me.

Disney movie night #6

Finally, this month I decided to pick the film you've all probably been wondering why I haven't chose yet...Beauty and The Beast and a fun night it was.

20 facts about my Disney life

Amy from Cocktails in teacups tagged me about 2 months ago to do this Disney tag and to be honest I'm disgusted in myself that it has taken me so long but better late than never isn't it? You can read Amy's 20 facts here if you haven't already.

5 Positive quotes

Let's face it we've all been there, our positivity seems to have just vanished, almost as if someone just came along in our sleep and stole it. We feel down, our minds are negative and we feel like nothing is going the way it should.

Aladdin at The Prince Edward Theatre

Last Thursday I finally got to see the newly opened Aladdin at The Prince Edward Theatre, I'd been looking forward to seeing this since they announced it was coming to London. I was contemplating traveling to New York to see it on Broadway if they hadn't announced it, as I wanted to see it that much, Aladdin is definitely high on my list of top Disney films.

5 Places to visit at home

The majority of us all love to jump on a plane and jet off somewhere out of this country, and I'm definitely in that category but it doesn't mean that sometimes it isn't nice to just have a little break away in our own little country. It might not always be hot, it might now have beaches at stunning as The Med or Caribbean but it does have some lovely spots to visit.

Pre holiday traditions

I was never really one for pre holiday traditions or doing things in the run up for fun & excitement, in fact apart from the obvious pre holiday beauty treatment I did nothing else but this year I've completely changed that, I wanted to start having some new traditions and fun things to do pre holiday.

Things I plan to do at Disney #2

If you've been reading my blog for a few months you may remember that back in March in the run up to my Disneyland Paris April trip I wrote a post on Things I plan to do on that trip and now I'm back again with the next instalment, this time it's for my visit to Disneyland Resort California.
